CCAGP Board Election
CCAGP will be holding a membership meeting and an election for the board of directors. The election will be to vote for two board positions: President and Secretary. Our long-time president of CCAGP, Dr. Harrison Chao, retired at the end of last academic year, and the Secretary position has been vacant for some time. We felt this was an opportune time to revive the pattern of annual membership meetings and board elections, as specified in the CCAGP bylaws. Going forward, we aim for the work of the board to be a more transparent part of the MingDe and DingHao community, and we encourage everyone to vote in the election.
If you are interested in serving as one of these positions on the board of directors, or have any questions about the election or the CCAGP board, please email board@ccagp.org. Please indicate which role you are interested in, and the nomination committee will be in touch. Please provide a brief bio or statement to share with the community. We particularly encourage parents who are already active volunteers with their respective schools to consider joining the board. Current teachers of either school are not eligible to be on the board while also serving as a teacher. Please let us know by Saturday, October 4th if you are interested.
Here is a brief description of the roles up for election:
- President - Serve as executive director of CCAGP, officiate board meetings, and have general management responsibilities for CCAGP
- Secretary - Take minutes at the board meetings and support communications with the CCAGP members
We will send out ballots and voting will begin on Friday, October 11th. Ballots will be via Google Form, sent out via each school’s regular communication channels. If you don’t receive the Google Form link, you can ask any of the current board members. Votes are due midnight on Saturday, October 25th, and the results will be announced Sunday, October 26th.
